April 12th- McCaskill

Nancy and Jamey were married on a gorgeous spring day in Murfreesboro, TN at the Riverdale Baptist church. The couple was a hoot and I enjoyed capturing them getting ready and all the excitement as the day went on. The couples friends were no exception, all the brides’ mates (including the bride’s man) wore fun colored socks.
As the ceremony started the groom men’s walked in with a meaning, they all walked in with a different stride, Jamey met each groom’s men with a hug and a pat at the end of isle. The church broke into laughter.
The ceremony was very beautiful and the photos were captured by Ace Photography.
The reception was held at the church. The couple, both professional dancers showed off their skills with a beautiful first dance to “The Beauty of Who you Are” by Marc Broussard.
It was a really fun day with a great group of people.

May 3rd- Braden

Shellie and David were married at the Forest Hills Baptist Church on a beautiful day. Shellie looked amazing in her strapless gown. David looked very handsome in his tuxedo. The bride took pictures with their photographer Lezlee Brown. The groom and his groom’s men got ready and then took his turn getting photos. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the church with Wayne Casusey performing the ceremony. Beautiful music was provided by pianist Dora Purdy and Flutist Christian Wetzler. The couple exchanged vows and the crowed celebrated as they said I do.
The reception was at the church and the bride and groom enjoyed cake, friends and family. The bride gave a great toss of the bouquet as it hit the ceiling it broke off a few flowers but the girls dove for it and made a great catch. The groom made a great toss of the garter. The bride and groom left the church through a stream of bubbles and drove off in a new Ford Mustang convertible. It was a joyous occasion for all.

Since I just started this blog, I wanted to do a quick rewind to the weddings that I have done this year.

March 15- Wilson Wedding

Tami Jo and James were married on March 15th at Hillsboro Presbyterian Church, although the rain came down outside the atmosphere inside was very sunny. The brides dress was a beautiful strapless white gown. The groom wore a black tuxedo. Derek Wayne of Affordable photography took the photos. This was my first wedding at this church and I was very impressed with the staff. The ceremony was traditional and went over beautifully. The reception was at the church and featured an amazing 5 tier blue and white cake. Live music was provided by Wedding Musician's Company. The couple left by through a line of bubbles and drove off in a vintage jag. Tami Jo and James were so fun and had a great sense of humor.

March 22nd- Westrich

Erin and Robert were married at The Inn at Walking Horse Farms in Franklin, TN. I have done a few wedding at the farm and really enjoy the location. The day was sunny but windy. I attended the rehearsal on Friday evening and the couple’s parents and friends gave wonderful speeches that showed how much the couple was loved. The wedding ceremony was very sweet and the bride and groom both beamed with joy as they said their vows. The ceremony was performed by Peter Ferguson.
The reception followed in the tent attached to the locations reception room. The first dance was “Wildflower” by Tom Petty followed by mother-son and father daughter dances. The couple enjoyed speeches from the best man and maid of honor with a champagne toast.
Paul Hughes took the photographs while DJ Dale Carver played the tunes.
I really enjoyed the couples fun loving nature, the brides was so warm and happy. It was an beautiful event for a very deserving couple.

March 29th- Massey

Jenny and Scott were married at First United Methodist Church in downtown Franklin. The bride had a beautiful strapless dress. Although the rain came down outside the bride and groom got ready with a smile ready to say I do. After the ceremony the couple left the church in a limo headed for Old Natchez Country Club for the reception. Old Natchez did a wonderful job as usually the room was beautiful DJ kept the music going. Sara Gibbs did the photography.
The cake was a five tier cake with pink and yellow flowers and a shimmer glow, it was stunning. The groom’s cake was a UT football field – very cool.
The couple gave their guests a CD with their favorite songs, as well as pens that had their date and name on it (great favors).
The party continued with the dancing, cake and a great toss of the bouquet and garter.

Beautiful muti-cultural Wedding

Saturday I had amazing event, the Davis/ Sreedharannair wedding. Sunita and Adam got married at the beautiful Embassy Suites- Airport. The Wedding was a muti-cultural event, starting with a beautiful Hindu ceremony. Sunita looked stunning in her red sari. Adam wore the traditional Hindu jacket and pants. The ceremony was very moving and I really enjoyed watching the Hindu cultures and seeing the two families blend their traditions.
After the ceremony Amy Coleman took the family photos, while the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour.
The wedding celebration continued with a Christian ceremony in the atrium of the hotel. Ralph Griggs performed the ceremony. Adam changed into a black tuxedo and Sunita wore a beautiful champagne colored dress.
The ceremony was followed by a reception, dinner was served in the ballroom and a beautiful cake by The Bake Shoppe was the center of the room. Kids big and small enjoyed the chocolate fountain. The favors at the table were really cute salt and pepper shakers with the saying two peas in a pod (so cute).
The couple enjoyed the time with their guests and got to share the day with all of their family some who had traveled a great distance. All the family members were so kind and I really enjoyed getting to capture this special day with a group of wonderful people.

At the couples request their images will remain private but here are a few video stills of the setup.

Why I love Weddings

I love weddings; I love the happiness that evokes from the room. The people are always happy even when stressed I love seeing that moment that makes all the hard work woth it. Weddings stand for everything that is good. Two people joining each other and starting a life together. I have to admit from behind the camera I have shed a few tears.

When I edit a wedding I try and capture the emotion that I felt during that day. I love getting to relive the video while I edit it together.

I truly love my job.
